Laura Havers began her PhD in the GEL lab in 2017 as part of an ESRC 1+3 studentship, supervised by Professor Angelica Ronald. She gained distinction for her MSc in Psychological Research Methods, and achieved the highest first class honours as a BSc student in Psychology at Birkbeck (2014).

Laura has previously worked and volunteered with adolescents and adults experiencing mental health difficulties prior to and throughout her undergraduate degree. Laura is particularly interested in the origins and the development of psychological and emotional difficulties. Her PhD will focus on the etiology and development of psychotic experiences across the lifespan, using a range of genetic epidemiological methods.
